Quantex has developed a pumping technology that is completely unique. It dispenses liquids aseptically and highly accurately. It has only two moving parts and is low-cost and disposable.

The Objective

Quantex needed a website to display their technology and how it works, illustrating ideas for ways in which the pump could be used by various appliances/products. Fuel Creativity were asked to build a website that would be easy to use, could be fully updated by Quantex Pumps and would clearly demonstrate the benefits of their pumping technology in a variety of applications. The aim of the site is to capture the imagination of blue-chip brands who could improve their products by licensing this technology.

The Solution

Through close collaboration with Quantex, Fuel Creativity developed the simple strapline, 'Revolutionary disposable liquid pump'. This not only states that the technology is new and could change the market-place, but also references the fact that the pump actually works by rotation (revolving) to dispense the liquid, rather than pushing like traditional pump technology. Fuel enhanced the brand design colour palette and introduced a droplet graphic to help visually associate Quantex with liquid.

The website was designed and built with a bespoke content management system (CMS) and all sub-navigation menu items and Flash animations could be added and removed through a simple, easy-to-use back-end interface.

Working closely with Quantex Pumps’ Directors, Fuel Creativity's Creative Director, Gillian Harding brainstormed around the types of products to which the disposable pump could be applied. This was a key part of the process involving careful strategic thought and conceptual product design. New washing machines, fridge designs, drinks dispensers, soap dispensers, spray technology and medical products were conceptualised.

The Result

The website is a critical business tool for Quantex. Many of their prospective clients are overseas and the website provides a positive first impression of the professionalism of the company. Animations of the website are often referred to in client presentations and help to keep file sizes down – especially useful when presentations need to be emailed. The website has provided 30% of new enquiries to Quantex from companies that have found them through search-engines.
