Established in 1865, BriggsAmasco is one of the largest specialist roofing companies in the UK. They currently have 13 locations across the country in addition to three sub-companies called ‘Hyflex', ‘Aperture’ and 'BriggsAmasco Maintenance'. The organisation are proud of their history which underpins their unrivaled experience and knowledge in the roofing arena.

The Objective

BriggsAmasco (at the time ‘Briggs Roofing’) decided to rename themselves because the name ‘Amasco’ had been established in the past and was a market leader which still carried weight in the construction industry. The aim of the re-branding was to remind people of the company's heritage and convey the quality and reliability of their service.

BriggsAmasco asked Fuel Creativity to look at their brand campaign including website, brochure, marketing materials, advertising for trade press, van livery and uniforms. The organisation wanted to have a presence in the marketplace that represented them effectively – that is, a straight-talking, traditional, established organisation with a highly skilled, professional and reliable work-force. Conveying these messages with a fresh, modern brand would be a challenge.

The Solution

The solution was to create a campaign that successfully and simply conveyed all of BriggsAmasco’s values and heritage, as well as a sense of dynamism and modernity. From a series of meetings/workshops with BriggsAmasco's directors, Fuel Creativity was able to identify the key messages and establish a deeper understanding of the industry and the company's central objectives. The re-brand included the creation of the rosette emblem, 'Roofing your world since 1865' and advertising headlines for the launch campaign such as 'simply Built to Last' and 'totally Tried and Tested'.

Materials produced included a spot-varnished folder with inserts showcasing each of the BriggsAmasco roofing systems and case studies. This meant that colour-coded inserts could be used individually or combined for flexible sales-presenting, plus additional sections could be added as the business's offerings expand into new areas. Fuel Creativity also designed and developed the BriggsAmasco corporate website plus three sub-company websites for the organisation. These were built to be fully content-managed by the client using a simple, bespoke CMS. Uniforms, hard hats and vehicles were branded and additional marketing tools such as branded mugs, drinks mats, pens and writing pads were produced.

The Result

After the launch of the new brand, BriggsAmasco's turnover grew by 33%. Fuel Creativity continue to support BriggsAmasco, Hyflex and Aperture, with design solutions for all their marketing needs.
